Submit a Badge

To submit a new badge to award to your students, hover over Teacher Tools, choose Badges from the drop-down menu, then click +Create badge at the top of the Badges page.

To add a new badge, you’ll need:

  • A badge title (name).
  • A description of the badge so that others will understand why a teacher would award that badge to their students (and so students understand why they earned it!). View the wording in descriptions of existing badges for examples.
  • An image file. For best results, badge images should be square. The ideal image size is 160 pixels x 160 pixels. If you need to re-size your image, TeachersFirst® has reviewed many free image editors, such as Cellsea

Note: Remember to be cautious when uploading information to websites, and never upload pictures of your students!

Add these items to the appropriate fields, then click Submit badge. Your new badge will be available in the badge library as soon as the MySciLife administrator approves it.

Note: Badges can only be removed from the Badge Library by MySciLife administrators.

See the Teacher Tools / Badges article for more information.
