Reading Announcements 


By default, you will see only the date, title, and name of the poster of the most recent announcements at the top of each Community stream.


Announcements function like posts, and they have both a stream view and an announcement view. You can read announcements directly from the Community stream by clicking the + to the left of the announcement title. This view will show a summary of the announcement, including the first 300 characters of text and a thumbnail of any attachments or embedded videos or web links.


Once the announcement is expanded, the + becomes a – that will collapse the announcement when clicked. Multiple announcement can be expanded at the same time.


To bring up the announcement view, which includes the entire announcement text, click the announcement title or body text. Just like in expanded post views, you will see all announcement comments.


To close the announcement view, click the x in the top right corner.


Click More announcements at the bottom of the box to read older announcements.
